Conductor of the Choir
With a rich conducting experience, Andrei Stănculescu is the Conductor of the George Enescu Philharmonic Choir since January 2026. Among his artistic achievements are appointments as Conductor of the Chamber Choir Preludiu – Voicu Enăchescu within the Tinerimea Română National Art Center; Assistant Conductor to maestro Michalis Economou, Conductor of the Greek Radio Symphony Orchestra; and Guest Conductor of the Romanian National Youth Orchestras.
The musician is the Conductor and founder of the Rubato Choir with which he has toured in Romania and Switzerland. Andrei Stănculescu is also frequently invited to conduct numerous philharmonics in Romania, and he serves as a regular Guest Conductor the Comic Opera for Children in Bucharest. In 2023 he debuted at the George Enescu International Festival as chorus conductor, and in 2025 as orchestral conductor.
Over time, his career was guided by prestigious conductors such as Paavo Järvi, Neeme Järvi and Kristjan Järvi, Cristian Măcelaru, Riccardo Muti, François-Xavier Roth, Cristian Mandeal, David Crescenzi, Martin Sieghart, and many others.
